Relatable Comedy, with a Kentucky Accent
Misty Hurt is a Kentucky-based comedian whose sharp storytelling and Southern charm bring a distinctly relatable voice to clean comedy. A graduate of Belmont University with a background in Nashville’s music industry, Misty spent years helping tell other people’s stories before stepping behind the microphone to share her own.
Drawing from small-town Kentucky life, family, dating, divorce, and everyday absurdities, Misty delivers conversational, story-driven stand-up built around memorable punchlines and a healthy appreciation for just how ridiculous ordinary life can be. Her comedy works across clubs, theaters, festivals, corporate events, churches, and community venues.
Misty’s comedy credits include Nateland Live at Zanies in Nashville, a Top 3 finish at The Clean Comedy Challenge, and finalist honors in the Funniest Person in Louisville. She was also selected to perform at comedy festivals across the country, including the Lookout Comedy Festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Funny is Female Festival in Oak Park, Illinois, and the Helena Comedy Festival in Helena, Montana.
Whether she’s tackling dating apps, reminiscing about growing up with a firefighter dad, or finding the absurdity in Southern life, Misty makes audiences feel less like they’re watching a performance and more like they’re swapping stories with somebody they’ve known for years.
